Cook: Greene County Awarded Funds for Traffic Improvement Projects

WAYNESBURG – Rep. Bud Cook (R-Greene/Washington) commended the efforts of the Greene County commissioners to secure $350,000 in funding through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA).

Funding assistance was awarded for offsite traffic improvements needed for a project on State Route 21, which is in Franklin Township, Greene County.

This project will transform an under used vacant lot into a modern two-tenant retail plaza, strategically positioned in Greene County’s business growth corridor.

“By fostering an environment conducive to attracting new industries, this project greatly adds to the county’s efforts to create jobs and enhance infrastructure,” said Cook. “This project will improve residents’ quality of life and I was pleased to help support it.”

The CFA is an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments stimulate Pennsylvania’s economic growth and infrastructure enhancements.
