Cook Secures $1.25 Million for Greene County Water Infrastructure Upgrade

July 17, 2026

HARRISBURG – Rep. Bud Cook (R-Greene/Washington) today announced Team 50 has secured $1.25 million for a vital water infrastructure improvement project in Greene County. The funding comes through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) and funding is designed to enhance local infrastructure and stimulate economic development.

The money will support a project to extend a Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority water line to the Jackson Township Municipal Building and install fire hydrants.

“We are happy to see these funds go to this important project,” Cook said. “Having reliable water service is essential for the well-being of our residents and the future growth of our community.”

RACP is a Commonwealth grant initiative overseen by the Office of the Budget, designed to support projects that contribute to regional economic, cultural, civic and recreational development.
